We are living in challenging times! From political uncertainty, a once in a lifetime pandemic, and the seeming collapse of our moral and civil society, we are in need of a firm foundation. I believe now, more than ever, that our foundation is found in our relationship with God. It is time to worship!

Recently, in our area, the infection rate from the virus and the serious illness that results from it has been on the increase. Whatever you feel about our country’s response to the pandemic, it is essential that we do all we can to protect the vulnerable, and still, it is time to worship!

At Hope, we will be providing three ways you can join in worship with us in this difficult time. Each individual and family needs to determine how they will continue their worship in the pandemic.

  • We are continuing to meet in person on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am for corporate worship. For many of you, this makes sense. We have been taking precautions to make this safer. Our tables have been placed farther apart to accommodate social distancing and every table has hand sanitizer available. Because the number of cases has been increasing at a dangerous rate in Kearney, masks are recommended but not required.
  • We have also been making our service available through Zoom at the regular service time. You will need the Zoom app on your computer or device and use the code 481 854 7418 to join the service. If you need help in setting this up, please call the church for assistance prior to Sunday morning. If you would like to join early or stay late to chat, feel free to do so.
  • We also have video recordings of the service available by Sunday afternoon on the Hope App or the Hope website (kearneyhope.org). This way, you can watch the service anytime at your convenience.

I would also encourage you to reach out in safe ways to others during this time, both for your benefit and for the benefit of others. We truly do need each other. Pray for each other and seek ways you can connect and show you care.
